Former USSSA Players Fill MLB Draft Boards

Stryker Trahan

It’s an exciting time for baseball in 2012 at both USSSA and for the MLB. In just the top draftee picks there are 25 who have played USSSA Baseball in their career, including several tournament MVP’s! Including two from the Baseball Elite World Series, formerly known as the Elite 16. This premier baseball tournament is held each year at Walt Disney World’s prestigious sporting complex – ESPN’s Wide World of Sports. Only time will tell if these skilled young telents will make it all the way to the Major Leadues, But getting drafted is without a doubt an huge accomplishment.

To have this amount of USSSA players drafted by the MLB goes to show what kind of talent is in the USSSA Program, and goes more to show why USSSA continues to be the pinnacle of youth baseball and sports as whole.
