USSSA & Travelball Select Announce Travelball National Championship Executive Board

Kissimmee, FL – USSSA, the largest multi-sport organization in the world, along with Travelball® (TbS) the leader in youth sports media, Continental Amateur Baseball Association (CABA) and East Cobb Baseball have come together and announced today they have created the largest event series ever assembled in travel sports to crown an undisputed 9u-14u Travelball® National Champion, “The National Championship Series”.

The newly formed Executive Board of TbS and the Travelball® National Championship Series, consisting of Chairman Don DeDonatis, CEO USSSA; General Counsel Dave Roberts, East Cobb; Mike Sagaro, National Director, Travelball® Select; Larry Redwine, Executive Director, CABA; Guerry Baldwin, President, East Cobb; Rick Fortuna, Baseball Vice President, USSSA; Don DeDonatis III, Baseball Vice President, USSSA; George Gonzalez Baseball Vice President, USSSA and Mitch Green, Marketing Director, Travelball® Select, along with Travelball® Select co-founder Richard Cole, operating board chair Gasper Palmer and operating board members William Saunders, Armando Sierra, Rick Goff and Ben Herrera have  created The National Championship Series bringing together in one event, the best of the best in Travelball®.


The Road to the Travelball National Championship
heats up in Miami…

“The Road to the National Championship” will kick off with the first Super
Regional, February 15, 2013, in Miami, Florida, and broadcasted live on ESPN3 and
USSSA Live. This event will set the NEW standard in tournament play, by
featuring many of the best organizations from all over the country, including 10 of
last year’s Travel baseball National and World Series Champions. –  Friday

  • @ 6:30 Two top 10 nationally ranked 10U teams Team Florida faces 2012 9u Travelball National Championship runner-up, Team MVP Elite (FL)
  • @ 8:30 USSSA Elite World Series Champion, Central Florida Wolverines vs AAU & AABC World Series Champions Florida’s Team MVP square off  in this year’s talent rich 11U division.


ESPN3 –  Saturday

  • ESPN3 @ 3:30 will open the day featuring a cross region clash between the nationally ranked California SY Titans (#6) vs Texas Team Mizuno (#7)
  • Competition gets even tougher when ESPN3 @ 6pm will have the #3 ranked Houston Banditos (TX) vs #4 Team Miami (FL)
  • In the night game, ESPN3 @ 8:30pm will feature the best of the best. This Saturday night matchup pits last year’s Elite World Series Champions in the 11u division, and this year’s pre-season TbS #1 ranked team in the country, California’s Diamond Stingrays, vs last year’s AAU World Series Champions and this years preseason #2 ranked Florida’s Team MVP.
