The 14U Savannah Dawgs youth baseball team won two USSA local tournaments defeating the Chain Gang 7-1 in the finals of the Super NIT Spring Warm-up Future Pros tournament and besting the Hornets/Riptide Rebels 5-1 in the championship game of the inaugural Chain Baseball Buddy Meyer & Matt Hegen tournament.
